Hacienda Grimon Reserva Rioja

Hacienda Grimón is located in Lagunilla, within Spain's renowned Rioja wine region. The estate has been passed down through several generations of the family and has preserved its traditional winemaking methods, producing distinctive wines with excellent ageing potential.

The grapes are hand-harvested from the estate's historic vineyards in early to mid-September, with vines approximately 30–50 years old.

Following fermentation in stainless-steel tanks, the wine is aged for 18 months in French and American oak barrels, followed by 24 months of bottle ageing in the cellar.

The wine displays a deep, intense red colour with excellent clarity. The aroma combines cherry, strawberry and raspberry with fine oak and attractive leathery notes.

On the palate, it is well balanced and full of rich red-fruit flavours, with soft tannins and a silky, rounded texture. It is described as a complex, balanced wine with a long, lingering finish.

Recommended with roasted red meats and poultry, as well as smoked fish and game.
