Château Beauchêne Côtes du Rhône Villages

Château Beauchêne is a family-run wine estate located in Piolenc, near Orange in the Southern Rhône Valley. The estate is associated with the Bernard family and produces several wines from the Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages and Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellations.

According to the producer, its Côtes du Rhône Villages vineyards are situated north of Orange, on limestone terraces, sandy-stony hillsides and gravelly alluvial soils influenced by the Aygues River. These diverse soils contribute to the structure, freshness and aromatic character of the wines.

Château Beauchêne Côtes du Rhône Villages 2019 displays a deep ruby-red colour with an attractive and concentrated appearance. On the nose, it reveals inviting aromas of ripe cherries, raspberries and dark plums, complemented by delicate hints of vanilla, liquorice, pepper and subtle woody notes. On the palate, the wine is rich and expressive, offering a powerful yet well-balanced structure with harmonious, supple tannins. Its generous red-fruit flavours are accompanied by gentle spice and roasted almond nuances, creating a rounded and satisfying texture. The finish is smooth and persistent, leaving pleasant impressions of ripe fruit and aromatic spice.

This wine pairs particularly well with grilled lamb, roasted beef, venison, slow-cooked stews and other richly flavoured meat dishes. Its ripe fruit character and supple tannins also complement roasted vegetables, mushroom dishes and mature cheeses.
