Family owned winery in the region of La Horra, possibly the most prestigious plots by the bank of the river Duero. This area is known for low yielding high quality grapes and outstanding wines. The grape harvest takes place in mid-September and all grape bunches are hand-picked from vines over 70 years old and then gravity fed to the tanks through OVI system. Two days maceration at 12°C, alcoholic fermentation at 29°C. Further 20 days maceration then malolactic fermentation (Nov.-Dec.). Ageing for 21 months in new American and new French barrels, clarification with natural egg whites and bottle ageing for another 15 months.

Deep cherry red with fine brick edges, very optimally concentrated polyphenyl extraction. Candied nose reminiscent of fruit preserve with certain hints of minerals giving rise to a complex wine that gradually reveals novel English chocolate nuances and milky notes. In the mouth: the palate faithfully reflects the nose, with a harmonious blending of fruits and wood. As its name suggests: the nobility of this wine is experienced from very first sip to the last drop and the taste in the mouth seems to linger forever.

All type of red meats, poultry, caviare, smoked, grilled and roasted and strong sauced dishes, Chinese cuisine. Very good with most cheeses.
